CANCELLATION POLICY

If you find that you have to cancel, your full registration fee will be refunded if FPS receives written notification by April 18, 2011 – conferences@forestprod.org or fax (608-231-2152) acceptable. There will be a 50% refund for all written cancellations made after April 18, 2011, but no later than 5 business days prior to the start of the conference (May 9, 2011). Understandably, after this time, no refunds can be issued. Substitutions, however, will be accepted any time without a penalty.

Refund:
100% – Cancellation received by (April 18, 2011)
50% – Cancellations received after (April 18, 2011) and no later than (May 9, 2011)
NO REFUND- Cancellations received after (May 9, 2011)

 

RECEPTION

A Monday evening, May 16 reception will feature poster presentations and industrial exhibits by researchers and suppliers of materials, equipment, products, and technical services.

 

STUDENT CONTEST

As in our 2009 conference, the “Jerry Saeman Award of Student Achievement in WPC Research” will be given for the best student formal and poster presentations.

 

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Poster presentation spaces are still available. Learn more. The poster session for the conference will take place on Monday evening, May 16, during an informal reception. A poster session consists of presentations by individuals who are stationed at a booth space similar to a typical exhibit booth. Each space contains a draped table and a 4- by 8-foot posterboard on which an abstract, key points, conclusions, charts, and diagrams are posted. If you believe you have technical materials suitable for a poster presentation (no commercial materials accepted), please email an abstract (250 words or less) to the Forest Products Society at conferences@forestprd.org or phone 608-231-1361, ext. 208. Poster presentations will be accepted based upon a review of their suitability to the objectives of the conference and on the availability of space.
